LYME DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH
Speak out throughout the month of May and advocate for lyme disease awareness.
Lyme Disease Awareness Month is an opportunity for a variety of actions, both big and small.
Activists in some parts of the country organize walks, 5K runs, and other major events to help educate the public and raise funds for research. Others festoon their communities with green ribbons...replace their porch lights with green bulbs...offer community showings of the Lyme documentary UNDER OUR SKIN...and hand out literature. Some write letters to their local newspapers...distribute information via Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest...or tell their story via a YouTube video.
Whatever you are doing, whether individually or as part of a group, won't you share the experience with us? Take a photo of your activity, follow our easy instructions to upload it to our website, and give us a brief description including your city and state. This will create a photo wall illustrating all the different ways people are working to give this important public health issue the attention it deserves.
