The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) has requested copies of Under Our Skin to be be given to each of the nine Lyme guidelines review panelists. According to senior producer Kris Newby, “We’re happy and humbled that the film is proving its potential to affect policy and people’s lives.”
Under Our Skin shows in blazing color that we Lyme patients are not two-dimensional stick-figures.
We are real.
We are flesh and blood human beings who need appropriate medical help.

Under Our Skin moved my husband to tears which is no small feat. He is devastated by Chronic Lyme Disease and I go around daring anyone to tell me it isn't a "real" problem, especially in the Northeast (Maine). We have three sons, two of which have children and they are deathly afraid that the children's grandfather won't be around for them to get to know him. Suicide is a worry – Chronic Lyme totally destroys people and their ability to cope with the pain and the mental incapacities can drive them to do the unspeakable. I wish we had a true champion making these medical decisions.
Make them pay for them !!!! We need all the funding we can get !!! Peace
