In week 10 of IV antibiotics. Contracted in lower Arkansas , I don’t know when. The ups and downs drives me crazy. I do have a Lyme literate doctor , who works with me. I am very grateful for this. I nursed for 26 years until I was totally disabled. I have been better with the IV antibiotics, but I am substantially taxed with the additional charge and part they will not pay for. My husband and family are very supporting. I do fall into the middle class where I can not get additional help in covering the medical bills, which are expensive. My husband also has lymes, but hasn’t affected him physically as it has me yet. I have been extremely ill since early 90’s but continued to work until 2007. When I became ill, I asked to be tested for lymes and was told it was not in the area. I also have a coinfection of Rmsf. My Aunt was hospitalized about the same time with lymes. Many more details not room for here with this struggle.
I have had Lyme since 2007 and my daughter got sick and was tested positive for Lyme & a co infection of R.MS.F. in 09. I also had it too. We have been told the closest real Lyme LLMD in Florida or Washington which want 5,000 per person for the first visit in cash. Please contact me so I can see where you are going. I know not to put names of these dr’s online the government has a thing about going after the only ones who will help us. Thanks!
We are also in Arkansas. Not sure if you are aware but a whole lot of people here have this or one of the other and cant seem to get the proper help and have died. These doctors here are covering it up and even afraid to put Lyme in our charts. Infectious Disease specialists I saw one day * 3 of them* gave me that lie Lyme isnt here either. I could barely walk into their office and they sent me away like I was the nut. Thanks. Please contact me anyone who reads this in my state or who can help.
