NEWS: Support group leader named to California Lyme panel
Karen Chew, who facilitated the Mid-Peninsula Lyme Disease Support Group for 15 years, has been named to California's Lyme Disease Advisory Committee (LDAC). Ms. Chew, a dental hygienist who contracted Lyme in 1979 from a tick bite at Pt. Reyes National Seashore, has long been involved in educating the public and the medical profession about tick-borne illness. LDAC was created to advise the California Department of Public Health on matters related to Lyme disease.
