NEWS: Debunking the “no Lyme in California” myth once again
Stanford scientists say ticks carrying Lyme disease and Borrelia miyamotoi are widespread throughout SF Bay Area.
Researchers from Stanford University collected western black-legged ticks at a dozen parks throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in 2012, and found many of them to be infected with Lyme disease and the lesser-known pathogen Borrelia miyamoitoi (which can cause Lyme-like symptoms and does not show up in Lyme testing.)

We live about 10 miles north of the California Boarder. The strange thing is Oregon “has no Lyme or tick born diseases.” You see, Birds don’t fly from CA to our area. Deer don’t migrate. Racoons and other rodents respect the boarders between the two states. SO My message to other Oregonians is Obvious. Research about Lyme Disease and take preventive action so you and your family can stay well. Also learn the symptoms of Lyme Disease and other Tick born diseases and if you experience them seek medical help from a physician who understands the seriousness of these diseases.
Wow, there are some very smart animals, birds and insects, that you guys have there on the border …wow can they talk because I’d like to know what they think about Lyme? LOL
My MD is very sought out MD he is a genuis I just found out he is a LLMD which apparently means, Lyme Literate Medical Doctor. I don”t have Lyme I see him because he so smart on matters of the health! He told me that there are so many people that live in the Columbia Gorge region that have Lyme. I think it is any place you see deer then you have Lyme. But there are no deer in San Francisco trotting around, so it must be birds. In Portland Oregon up in SW hills I’ve see deer crossing the street by forestry park. So it must be in the city My sister friend went hiking in eastern Oregon and got Lyme and her friend got Lyme in Sun River!
An aerial spraying with some sort of essential oil, or someother non toxic natural thing to kill the ticks would be great I read a case where someone believes a deer flea gave it to them
I came across an article how to be safe outdoors and tick free so if your going hiking, biking kayaking etc.. wear all white clothes tuck your pants into your white socks.,that what way the ticks are easier to see. If you have long hair wrap in up and stick in under a hat. The hat needs to cover both the side and back of your head. Spray your clothes and shoes with tick repellent. REI has some stuff that kills the ticks on contact. I read you can buy clothes that you wear that kills ticks as soon as they land on you. I wonder how safte that stuff is ? I would keep my hands covered with those biking gloves. If one gets into skin keep tweezer and one of those sealed plastic bag to put the tick in for later identifcation do not smoke them out they can live without oxygen for long time.

Electronic control system uses ultrasonic frequencies to keep deer & other small animals away there is one for tick and spray all round your house tick repellent of plants the herbs the scent of certain herbs will repel them I realize you might look odd doing outdoorsy stuff all covered up is not fun, but either is shaking uncontrollably like you have parkinsons and having flu like symptoms and rash and some other horrific symptoms. Please do NOT take chances with your life and well being it is so not worth it Chronic Lyme can clearly cause neurological issues looks like parkinson’s when you see it .
I also heard that hunters are now having the deer meat checked for Lyme.
This my take Lyme must be stopped ! Doctor need access and education about the right labs to use for early detection, The lab I read about that is best one is IGENEX.
Many people are suffering with chronic lyme and my heart goes out to those people and if they had early detection by getting the right tests they would of been cured. For every illness someone holds the knowledge for the cure. So keep carrying the faith forward.
