NEWS: "Sign, Governor, and help Lyme patients"
Once more, the Poughkeepsie Journal urges Governor Cuomo to sign Lyme bill that was passed by the NY legislature.
By the Poughkeepsie Journal editorial board, August 28, 2014:
Several months ago, state legislators made the enlightened decision to free up doctors to provide long-term treatment for Lyme disease, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo still has not signed it into law.
He should do so promptly.
The measure would make it possible for physicians to prescribe long-term antibiotic therapy to a patient with symptoms of chronic Lyme disease and — here’s the important part — without fear of retribution from government regulators.
