In 2016, New York TV station Fox5 produced two comprehensive special reports about Lyme disease, entitled “Lyme and Reason: The cause and consequence of Lyme disease” and “Lyme & Reason 2.0: The Voices of Change.”
LymeDisease.org CEO Lorraine Johnson was interviewed for the second report, where she discusses the power of social media and technology to help change the national conversation about Lyme disease.

Excellent. I would love to see bill boards in our area with the symptoms of Lymes listed. Any suggestions how to accomplish this ?? I love in the Poconos Pa where Lymes is very common probable a lot not even diagnosed do to medical field not been educated. I was misdiagnosed twice by an MD & a PA.

Thank you for advancing a cause that has devastated so many. I was diagnosed 9 years ago in Iowa by a medical resident out of Michigan. I know back thenDrs did not have the education to diagnose and patients didn’t have access to good Lyme literate doctors. It’s been a struggle. We in the Lyme community appreciate all you are doing to advance diagnosis and treatment for Lyme disease.
Very informative interview. The lymedisease.org website has helped me so much. I read all of the articles that are posted and they give me great comfort knowing that I am not alone in this journey. I have also completed the big data survey. I look forward to a cure someday soon but I believe that we must remove all of the politics first. The voices of the patients (not the insurance companies, infectious disease society, FDA,Federal & State Gov’t ) should lead the discussion as to how to conquer the cure.
I am devastated by the lack of education. I’ve been sick with Lyme for 5 years and can’t shake the brain swelling. Makes me think the worst about myself. The bad thoughts of guilt and shame, purposelessness at not leading a normal life. Being in the clutches of the rigors of death too many times has left me humble. Stripped me of vice and virtue. The world a scary place now. Iv’e been out of society too long. I hope I can recover.
Might reccomend these 2 modalities of treatment. These are from personal experience .
If you are on a high dosage of appropriate ABx for Lyme and or your Dxed co-infections for at least 2-4 weeks. You may get additional relief by adding OZone therapy to your treatment. Have a extended treatment.from a qualified person / MD ,
