Joni Mitchell says Morgellons makes her feel “like being eaten alive”

EXCLUSIVE: ‘I have this weird, incurable disease that seems like it’s from outer space.’ Folk legend Joni Mitchell’s battle with rare illness that made her a hermit for years and made her feel like she was being ‘eaten alive
…in his new book Reckless Daughter: A Portrait of Joni Mitchell, music critic and Syracuse University professor David Yaffe explores Joni’s legacy of folk music in the 1960s and a career spanning more than forty years, her experiences with drugs and rock star lovers, and her tragic medical issues.
Speaking of her Morgellons syndrome, Joni said: “Fibers in a variety of colors protrude out of my skin like mushrooms after a rainstorm: they cannot be forensically identified as animal, vegetable or mineral.”
At times she couldn’t wear clothing as she continually felt that she was being “eaten alive,” and was unable to leave her house for several years. READ MORE.
So… according to the CDC if you think you have Morgellon’s you require psychiatric help, but be that as it may…MD is a dermal infection with Borrelia and in my patients I have them use topical tea tree oil and topical Ivermectin on top of their oral Borrelia protocol.
I have just recently started naturopathic treatment for Lyme, et al. In the past week, I have developed a rash that feels like fiberglass insulation coming out of me through my skin. So far, I haven’t found any fibers though.
It’s hard to believe that the dumbasses in the CDC, our health?care system, our government, and insurance companies refuse to admit that these infections are real. GREED IS AN UGLY THING!
Greed and Stupidity combined makes for a horribly ugly thing, People having Lyme are all to well acquainted with both.
How many times do we see that line “Many victims appear to have a history of drug-taking” trotted out by the media? It simply isn’t true. Some might have but the vast majority haven’t – just as you might expect with many other illnesses. Shame on the DM newspaper for using it in the headline. The only coke I have ever experienced in my life has been the dark liquid in a plastic bottle available at supermarkets yet I too suffered badly for some time with this illness. And yes, one so called specialist even had the audacity to accuse me of “using drugs” – at which point I walked out.
When fibres actually start pouring out of your skin or you can see coloured dots UNDER it – and other people witness that too – then I’d say the only ones on “drugs” or delusional are those who continue to deny this is a real physical illness.
As most people reading this probably already know, there’s a lot of stuff out there about research for your further reading but let me say this: I was treated under long term intensive Lyme therapy and (touch wood) it seems to have either eradicated the problem or arrested it. There can be no doubt there is a link. Even sample maps of Lyme and Morgellons incidences show remarkable similarity when transposed.
My only wish is that the CDC would get off its high horse and instead encourage real funding so research projects can go forward with speed. If you are suffering and getting nowhere then you really need to see a Lyme literate medic who understands.
The symptoms of worms trying to exit the skin, terrible itching, and strange stuff on the skin could indicate histamine intolerance. (Other symptoms are possible too.) The most interesting connection between Morgellon and histamine intolerance is that both mention problems with processed meat. The great thing is histamine intolerance can be solved by a change in diet. If you think you have Morgellon, google histamine intolerance, and the histamine intolerance diet. There are a growing number of websites. Some have strict diets, others allow more foods. Try to the foods approved by all the sites, and avoid all the foods they say are bad. Do it for at least a few weeks. (You’ll be eating a lot of fresh foods.) Some site actually list the volume of histamine in various foods.
Hello !
I found information on the web. There are serious, concerned and dedicated professionals, that are researching,
Instead of sending us to a psychiatric.

I just posted a bibliography regarding research being done about Morgellons.
One of the articles is about an illness caused by an infection in cattle, with almost identical characteristics or symptoms than Morgellon.
There is an illness in cattle transmitted by a spirochetal infection, that causes a dermatitis characterized by the presence of filamentous fibers of keratin in skin, just like Morgellons (Bovine digital dermatitis).
I don’t know if that infection can be transmitted to humans, by drinking milk, eating meat, or touching the infected animals. However, the infected cattle, just like humans suffering from Morgellon get filamentous fibers of keratin in skin and hair and a dermatitis.
