TOUCHED BY LYME: Caring for a child with Lyme disease
I was recently privileged to be interviewed by Cindy Kennedy, FNP, about the book I co-authored with Sandra Berenbaum, “When Your Child Has Lyme Disease: A Parent’s Survival Guide.”
Cindy is a nurse practitioner, a wife and mother–and she has experienced years of Lyme disease herself.
Now, she produces a podcast called “Living with Lyme,” where she gets up close and personal with many different segments of the Lyme community.
We spoke about a wide variety of topics that parents of kids with Lyme must deal with: finding the right medical care, dealing with school, how non-sick members of the family are affected, resources available to families with Lyme, psychological issues and much more.
