Campaign continues for Lyme doctor/insurance bill in Pennsylvania
Advocates continue to push for passage of Lyme-related legislation in Pennsylvania.
So far, HB 629 has passed the House. A companion bill, SB 100, is under consideration in the Senate.
The measure does several things. It allows doctors to clinically diagnose Lyme and treat it with longer term antibiotics. It also provides for insurance coverage of such treatment.
In the following clip from Good Day, PA (WHTM-TV), Julia Wagner and Jackie Zulli explain what is at stake.
