LYMEPOLICYWONK: Thanks to Everyone Who Helped With the IDSA Petition!
CALDA and Time for Lyme (TFL) want to thank everyone for their help on the petition asking Connecticut Attorney General Blumenthal to further hold the IDSA accountable. Although the petitions were limited to Connecticut residents and the timing fell in the midst of school graduations with all of the time those entail, approximately 2,500 signatures were collected and are being sent to him.
Whether or not AG Blumenthal elects to pursue the case further, the findings from his investigation have given us valuable info to communicate in any contacts with the media regarding the extensive conflicts of interests of the panel members and their exclusionary tactics. We no longer need to be on the defensive having to prove that the “experts” of the IDSA may have motivations other than pure science. The AG Blumenthal’s investigation has proven that they have industry ties that could taint their scientific findings, and the behavior of the IDSA in the review process has further demonstrated their strong arm tactics. One thing is clear, we have come from not even being part of the dialog to being the center of a debate that is far from over. When we work together, we make things happen.
So keep up the good work. Keep getting our story out as much as you can. Thank you again!

The point of this Petition is for Lyme Sufferer's to be Heard…No one can define anybodys illness except the person, Who is suffering. You dont know, what Lymies are going through, most people who sign the petions were Lymies sufferers or maybe someone they know who is related to them or a friend.
"That's the 'bottomline' here…the people who signed this petition are just not qualified to even have an opinion on a matter of contract interpretation."
I disagree with this opinion(above quote), we are more than qualified to sign the Petition. We are professionnal who are inflicted with this bias guidelines that Drs created-Who is not above the Law. Who are they to make jugdement of peoples lives…we are ill because of someones neglegence.
If you are not a Lyme sufferer you dont know where we walk, walk on our shoes, then maybe you will fight as hard like we do… We only wanted our lives back and if we allow the society to make decision for us, then we are all doom.
This is a big Mistakes that need to be corrected Immediately…Drs face it, you make mistakes, just face the Truth -that everybody is not knowing.
Drs forgot the Ethical obligation tot he patient-To Save A Life, instead we become merely a dollar sign on Medical Field. The agenda here is very obvious to make profits of people suffering…
Wake-up Everybody-Politician, Government, Drs, Lawyers-You dont know until you will be hit with Lyme Disease.
Now, Who are you to define us Lymies?

D: Petitioning the Attorney General to take specific legal action by laypersons is highly inappropriate as I explained, above. Regardless of your "need to be heard". This is not a proper way to be heard.

You can sign whatever petitons you want. I am allowed, though, to express an opnion that I believe that to be improper.
