NEWS: Lyme researcher at Stanford promoted to professorship
Cheryl Koopman, PhD, has been promoted to professor (research) of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, in the Stanford University School of Medicine, as of May 1. Her research focuses on survivors of stressful events, including serious illness, political and interpersonal violence, and natural disasters. Koopman evaluates social interventions to promote physical and mental health in under-served communities. In addition, she is collaborating with experts in Lyme disease and biostatistics to investigate diverse manifestations of Lyme disease and its impact on quality of life. Some of her Lyme-related work has been supported by CALDA research funds.
