Media coverage: Lyme disease in Minnesota–and who is trying to help
The following news story from KSTP-TV, of Minneapolis-St. Paul, provides several perspectives of Lyme disease in Minnesota.
For starters, reporter Beth McDonough tells viewers that she herself has experienced Lyme disease. She also interviews MN Senator Tina Smith, a co-sponsor of the TICK Act, about the ramifications of that new law.
And she features advocate Lisa Najarian, founder of the Twin Cities’ Lyme Foundation. The Foundation helps patients get properly tested and connects them with Lyme-literate providers.
