LYME TIMES Fall 2022 issue honors Dr. Charles Ray Jones
Dr. Charles Ray Jones, a trailblazing pediatric Lyme specialist who treated more than 15,000 children from around the world, died on May 15, 2022.
While many parents have credited him with saving the lives of their children, Dr. Jones was harassed by the medical establishment for years. He was embroiled in controversy because he did not follow the diagnosis and treatment guidelines of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
Yet despite the turmoil, he continued to treat suffering children and to help train other doctors in his methods.
The Fall 2022 issue of the Lyme Times is dedicated to his memory. It includes articles from many people who have known and admired him over the years.
Other topics in this issue include:
- Rehabilitating your Lyme-impaired vision
- When Lyme is misdiagnosed as mental illness
- Racial disparities in diagnosing and treating Lyme disease
- Why chronic Lyme patients can’t get the care they need
