TOUCHED BY LYME: 8th graders win “Be Tick Free” video contest
A 60-second computer-animated video about protecting yourself from tick bites has won first place in the 2017 Dutchess County, New York, “Be Tick Free” video competition.
The winning entry was created by DeAngelo Abadsidis and David Leino, both eighth graders at Faith Christian Academy in Poughkeepsie.
The photo above shows the boys holding their awards, with members of the county’s “Tick Task Force,” the students’ parents, and staff members from the school.
