New Billboards Go Up Near Tucson
By Phyllis Mervine
The billboards in Arizona are up and I am excited that Marie sent us pictures I can share with you. We also have ideas for how you can help with this campaign even if you can’t afford a billboard. If you have a website you can post a Lyme Disease Symptom Checklist banner on your website. Read on to find out how.
Marie says one billboard is on a very busy intersection in Tucson, and the other is along I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix with not much else to look at except the sign.
“I love the link,” she goes on, “ and that it can be translated into so many different languages. My Mexican friends will appreciate that, and perhaps create a Spanish billboard in Mexico. Great job!”
You may notice that these billboards say, “TAKE THE TEST.” This was the artist’s suggestion and they are the first billboards. We said OK but since it isn’t really a test, future billboards will say, “CHECK YOUR SYMPTOMS.”
One of our Twitter followers likes the billboards, too.
Share Lyme Disease Symptom Checklist on your website
Over 6,000 people have already completed the Symptom Checklist. (We hope you are one of them!) If you want help even more people find it, you can share the Symptom Checklist banner on your website. If the size below does not fit into your website design, we will make a banner to fit your dimensions. Email us at info@lymedisease.org to let us know your custom size.
Here’s how to use the image:
Copy and paste the following code into your HTML:
<a href=”https://www.lymedisease.org/lyme-disease-symptom-checklist” target=”_blank”><img alt=”Lyme Disease Symptom Checklist” src=”https://www.lymedisease.org/images/ldo-sidebar-symptom-checker.jpg” width=”320″ height=”289″ /></a>
Stay tuned for pictures of new billboards in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania in the near future. People in both those states have requested our artwork and are exploring their options.
Here are some other ideas for things you can do for Lyme Disease Awareness. Remember, it doesn’t have to just be in May!

I like the billboard design, clean and easy to read, straight to the point. Would like to see them up in states that have higher rates of Lyme, like my home state of MN.
Do you have this design in posters, bumper stickers for people who do not have a website or cannot afford to rent a billboard?
