TOUCHED BY LYME: Vote now to recognize “Lyme and Reason” for excellence
Fox5NY has done a stellar job of covering Lyme disease in recent years. This has included three half-hour programs in its “Lyme and Reason” series.
The most recent one, Lyme and Reason: Battles and Breakthroughs Against Lyme Disease, has been nominated as a finalist in the 2020 Sharecare Awards.
The Sharecare Awards, in association with The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter, seek to reward excellence in health-related programming.
The public can vote—once per category, per day, per device—through January 31.

Among those featured in the program are journalist Mary Beth Pfeiffer, Lyme Disease Association President Patricia Smith, Congressman Chris Smith, researcher Dr. Sin Hang Lee and patient/advocate Olivia Goodreau.
If you haven’t seen the episode yet, it’s well worth your time.

The Lyme and Reason series has already done a lot to raise awareness of Lyme disease. Winning this award would spread its message even further.
So, readers, I hope you’ll go forth and click–early and often.
